Did I mention that I love knitting the Cozy? After having several false starts it’s up and running.

And there was me thinking I would never be able to get to grips with anything remotely lacey. It gives me hope that I’ll be able to knit ‘Branching Out’ from knitty.com If I’d have realized it was Mothers day tomorrow I probably would have made an attempt at it but somehow I don’t think I would have done it justice.

I think half my problem is that I’m too eager to cast on, I never really read the pattern the whole way through before starting. I guess in doing that I’d be somewhat prepared for whats coming next.

I was a bit worried with Cozy that I’d have to look at the pattern at all times and keep checking with my work to make sure I was on the right track, to begin with it felt like that was what I was doing but I slowly began to realize that if I just had a little confidence in my ability to remember the repeat then I’d make it to the end of the row with out messing up.

The yarn is fab, it feels a little rough to knit with and I’d heard that from other people before I bought it. The colours look better than I could have hoped for and I think I’ll be able to finish it using just one skein, which leaves me with a spare. I’m not even going to begin to think about what I could use it for, it only leads to distraction and I want to get this finished first.
